Zion Oshiobugie- Tale of A House boy become OAP/CEO, Dreams of Educating over 20,000,000 African Children.

INTRODUCTION
My name is Zion Oshiobugie, I hail from edo state, Auchi to be precise, I studied Electrical Electronic Engineering at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta state, I am a radio presenter and an entrepreneur, I am an educationist (I own 3 learning Centers in Warri, Delta state)

HOW IT STARTED
I actually started out as a comedian and a teacher, I really love anything that has to do with talking. I became an OAP when I lost my job as a teacher with a private secondary school in Warri. I applied to be an OAP with crown FM when they advertised for vacancy and lucky me I was taken.

FOR HOW LONG
For about 2 years plus, I became an OAP in October 2013, till date. I worked with crown FM for over 2 years, I now work with KPOKO 100.5FM

CAPITAL
I officially started my business in October 2012. I started my business with my personal savings of about N60, 000 Plus N15000 That I got from my mentor (Pastor Glenn Orighoyegha)

HOW YOU GET IDEAS
I read books a lot and I also read from websites like www.entreprenuer .com and other sites. But majorly I get most of my ideas in the morning when I wake and most times in the bathroom while bathing something might just drop, so I am always with my journal to write down

OTHER THINGS YOU DO
Apart from being an OAP I am also into teaching, Master of ceremonies, Voice overs, Public speaking, and Motivational speaking

YOUR WORK FOR HOW LONG
Over 7 hours each day

WHAT YOU FEAR AND HOW YOU OVERCOME IT
I fear Poverty. That’s why I work extra hard, give to charity and impact lives this Fear fuels my desire, I use fear as a drug now. I say to my myself that “I can never be poor till I die”

PASSION
My passion lies in education. I have a goal to help over 1.5 million people become problem solvers not job seekers. I think education should be revamped, vocational skills and mentorship is needed in all schools. No alarm clock is needed now because my passion wakes me up.

DEFINE SUCCESS
I define success as the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or a worthy goal. The fact that you are making progress towards a goal, means you are successful.

FAILURES AND LESSONS LEARNT
I have lost my job in 2012 at a point in my life when I almost committed suicide, I learnt that there is life beyond any job, there is more to life than a job so I learnt to solve problems and not seek jobs.
I was bankrupt in 2010, when my bosom friend took me to a man that duped me to the tune of over N700, 000 this crippled my business, put me in debt and made me a laughing stock. I learnt to always put my head up, I learnt that as long as I can look up I can get up.
I learnt that things happen in life and it’s just life we have to deal with it. I also learnt to respect my parents because when these things happened to me, I lost everything except the love of my parents and the mercy of God. I have failed at other little things but I have succeeded in more things

MENTORS/INFLUENCERS
Books have influenced me a lot. Books like think and grow rich, parable of the dollars, Rich dad poor dad. My mentor has been a great influence in my life: Pastor Glenn orighoyegha, My parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter Danzumi Okpo, Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Eric Thomas have also played a role in my life

WHEN THINGS DIDN'T GO THE WAY YOU WANTED
I was someone’s houseboy in 2004, I served as houseboy to Eng. and Dr Nnnamdi Onyeka for 4 years, I expected to finish school in their house and get a job through their influence but things didn’t work out like that as they were transferred to Lagos some months to the completion of my OND in PTI. Things didn’t go the way I planned or wanted it, but I decided to move on with my life and God helped my fund my HND

LIFE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR
Loads of ways. I started out wanting to solve the problem of admission into tertiary institution. Entrepreneurs solve problems and being an entrepreneur with a dream has changed my life, it made me a TEEP (Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship programme) Alumni where I was given $5000 as seed capital to invest in my business.I am now able to help more people, I am now able to take care of my parents and it helped me turned from houseboy to CEO

TOP 3 SKILLS NEEDED BY AN ENTREPRENEUR
Problem solving
Leadership
Humor

GOALS
To educate over 20,000,000 African children. The aim is to provide quality education to poor community because I believe every child deserves to be education. To have over 20 learning centers in different communities, to be the leading provider of educational services in Africa and beyond.
FINAL WORDS TO THE WANNABE-PRENUER, STARTER-PRENEUR AND ENTREPRENEUR
Be a problem solver not a job seeker;  think of a problem you can solve that can help millions of people and you will definitely become rich. Gone are the days where you graduate from school and get a readymade job, it’s now the turn of entrepreneurs and problem solvers.
