One day a friend asked me; If every profession in the world paid the same salary what will you be doing?- Madamedon Emiko, Pencil Photo-Realistic Artist

INTRODUCTION

My name is Madamedon Emiko, I hail from Ekurede-Itsekiri, Warri, Delta State. I attended Willen School in Warri where I got my O'Level. I am an artist; a Pencil Photo-Realistic Artist
THE GENESIS
I always had Art as a potential in me from the onset but my parent totally forbid me from the it. After high School, one of these days I was home, a friend called me and asked, "if every profession in the world paid the same salary what will you be doing?" I replied by saying. "I would be drawing because it is what I enjoy doing" then he said  to me, "your future lies in art bro"and from then I started training  myself the art and tried out new things.

STARTED OFFICIALLY
10 months ago to be precise.
FUNDING
Against all odds (my family wasn't interested in my art), I gathered little money with the help of my best friend; Banro Ukusanren who helps me with ideas and invested by buying me materials to start drawing. The name of the brand is MAD EMIKO ART "mad" is conned from my surname Madamedon.
 OTHER THINGS YOU DO
Apart from being an artist, I double as a graphic designer, cartoonist, a painter and  as pipe welder.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO COME OUT WITH AN ART WORK ON THE AVERAGE?
3 to 4 days .

FEAR AND HOW YOU OVERCOME IT
I manage my fear by believing in GOD to handle all things because to me everything is based on believe.
WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I have this strong passion for nature and human creations because there's just so much mixture of undisputed art around all creations in the world and it intrigues me.
DEFINITION OF SUCCESS?
I define success as been in that state where you are lifted above all your challenges and setback and you just feel like you are standing next to the sun and becoming more of your greatest expectations and dreams.
FAILURES AND LESSONS LEARNT

Some of my failures have been; not realizing my true potential on time, failing to take decision to follow my dreams and passion and believing in human for support and assistance instead of GOD.
I have learn to put God first and take my dreams and passion to the head and push myself above the limits
MENTORS/INFLUENCERS
My influence has been my best friend(Banro Ukusanren) she is more like a sister to me; she thought me the ways of God, how to believe in myself, how to convert my talent into a business and she has thought me a lot in improving my art skill.

WHEN THINGS DIDN'T GO THE WAY YOU ANTICIPATED

When I made a portrait gift for Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and his wife, they loved it so much that I was called up to be rewarded for the effort but when they announced it, I wasn't in Church that Sunday. I came out of it by reminding myself that I made it for God and that thought lifted my spirit and pushed me forward.

GOALS

My long term goal is to become a worldwide recognized a hyper-realistic artist, influential to the up and coming generation with same potential and generate enough funds from my arts to be able to assist the less privileged
